‘The Way We Were’ Exhibition

CISWO’s Thornycroft Centre recently held a week-long exhibition, The Way We Were, celebrating the personal histories of its members. The event featured photos and stories that offered a nostalgic look into their childhoods, covering topics like favorite meals, school days and music, from their early years growing up in former coal mining communites.

 

Members contributed personal photos and answered questionnaires, creating a heartwarming journey through the decades.

 

 

A big thank you to all who participated and shared their memories, making the exhibition a special experience.

 

As part of our ongoing work to combat social isolation, our Thornycroft Centre provides a welcoming space where members can connect, take part in social activities, and enjoy a variety of services. This exhibition was just one of many initiatives aimed at strenghtening community and belonging.
