Carway Park Transformation

We help more than 200 independent mining charities to continue delivering essential recreational and social facilities in local communities. Through providing guidance and governance support we can help then to thrive. 

A recent example of this support is our involvement with the Carway & District Welfare Association in Carmarthenshire, Wales, where an exciting project is underway to upgrade the play area at Carway Park.

CISWO has provided grant funding of £48,000 toward this initiative, contributing to a total of over £200,000 in successful funding applications. With this substantial support, work has officially begun to transform the park into a vibrant space for families and children of all ages to enjoy for years to come.

Our commitment to enhancing the lives of those in former coal mining communities is at the heart of what we do. Through supporting welfare projects like this, we aim to create lasting positive impacts in former mining communities.
