A Thornycroft Love Story

At CISWO, we are dedicated to combating social isolation and improving the well-being of individuals connected to the coal mining industry. Our Thornycroft Centre plays a key role in this mission, offering a welcoming space where members can engage in meaningful activities and form lasting relationships. A perfect example of this is the heartwarming story of Jean and Stephen, both valued members of our Thornycroft Centre. 

Jean, who has been part of our community for over two years, met Stephen when he joined the centre six months ago. From the moment they met they became firm friends, this friendship quickly blossomed and at the centre's recent summer party, Stephen proposed to Jean - and she said yes!

Their journey is a testament to the connections fostered at Thornycroft, where our range of services not only enrich lives but also create meaningful relationships. From social activities to support programs, Thornycroft has something for everyone. 

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Jean and Stephen. We are thrilled for them and look forward to supporting them in this new chapter of their lives.
