During Volunteers’ Week, we recognise and celebrate the contribution volunteers make to mining charities across the UK.
Without their commitment and involvement, many of the local miners’ welfares would not be able to continue to deliver services, activities and essential recreational facilities in our communities
We also recognise those who take on the important role of being a charity trustee, including CISWO’s own trustees who freely contribute their time, skills, and expertise to guide and support our work.
Volunteers’ Week has been running for over 40 years and is an annual UK-wide campaign which celebrates and recognises the contributions of volunteers and their role in creating stronger and more connected communities.
