Job Title: Administrative Assistant
Job Type: Permanent, part-time
Hours: 22 hours per week, Monday, Friday and two other week days, 9am to 3pm, flexibility required
Salary: £13,499.20 per annum, 29 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata), generous pension, Westfield Health, free onsite parking plus other benefits
We are recruiting for an Administrative Assistant based at our Mansfield Office to provide a comprehensive administration support service to enable the effective delivery of the charity’s miners’ welfare support services, trust fund secretariat responsibilities, bookings and support services to a community centre and the efficient operation of the Regional Office.
This role supports the regional development manager in processing and responding to a range of enquiries from independent miner’s welfare charities. You will deliver a full range of office skills including minute taking, typing of correspondence, reports, agenda papers, special projects, along dealing with telephone calls and dealing with visitors to the office.
Other responsibilities include accurately updating and maintaining the organisation’s community welfare database and filing systems, administering a bookings and payment system for a local community centre, and liaising with other parties to ensure services are provided professionally.
You will need excellent IT skills including use of databases and Microsoft Packages, excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise work. Good attention to detail and problem solving skills are essential along with excellent communication skills.
You will also need a good understanding and ability to deal with issues confidentially and sensitively, excellent customer service skills, a good general standard of education and previous experience of working in a busy office environment. You will also need a full UK Driving licence and access to own vehicle.
