Our mission at CISWO is to enhance the lives of former miners, their dependants, and for those living in former coal mining communities.

We believe that personal connections are essential in offering effective support, which is why we prioritise getting out into communities and meeting people face-to-face.

Recently, our teams have been actively engaging with communities, attending local events such as the Community Healthy Hearts event at South Kirkby Miners' Sports Club, the Northwest Miners' Heritage event at Lancashire Mining Museum, and the 138th Durham Miners Gala.

Attending events such as these allows us to reach more people, showcase our services, listen to the concerns of the community, and make a real difference in people's lives.

Looking ahead, we have two upcoming events where you can meet our team. Tomorrow, on July 24th, we will be at the Get Involved Day at Maurice Lea Memorial Park in Swadlincote. Following this, on July 31st, we will participate in the Ashfield Wellbeing Network event at Selston Country Park.

If you would like CISWO to attend your event or if you need more information about our services, please contact us at media@ciswo.org.uk.

CISWO remains dedicated to making a positive impact, and we look forward to continuing our work with communities across the country.
