We were delighted to host another workshop at Manton Miners Welfare on 2nd October, specifically tailored for trustees in miners’ welfare charities.
The session focused on helping current and prospective trustees to have a better understanding of their core roles and responsibilities in line with the Charity Commission’s “Essential Trustee” guidance.
Trustees from different welfares had the opportunity to share their own experience of managing their welfares and discuss the various challenges and opportunities they are face with.
The workshop was facilitated by the North and South England regional development managers and attended by the CISWO grants team who provided an overview of the grants and fundraising support available and offered useful tips on how to approach grant funding.
Further workshops are being arranged in each region over the coming months.
